Art Inspired by Nature

As Long as I can remember, back to my early child hood I was fascinated by nature.

Founded from walks with my grandfather, who had a keen eye and love of the natural world.

This inspired me to create art, and found a natural talent initially as pencil drawings, through the years I have used gouache, watercolour, pastel and acrylics.

Photography began in 1978 as a tool to aid with my paintings as reference images.

This new passion eventually developed into a profession, and five businesses followed.

Lee Mott Photography, specialising in Wedding and Environmental portraiture.

Qualifications with the British Institute of Professional photography, Master photographers Association and Craftsman of the Guild of Wedding Photographers.

This was my bread and Butter, however creating Art remained, and Wildlife was still always my passion throughout, my free time would lead me to travel extensively in search of new encounters.

With a deep understanding of Wildlife,extensive field experience and a self taught photography background, One thing led to another and Nature Photography Courses began in 1995 with, 4 day courses throughout the UK.

In 2006 we moved to Shetland, an island that lies 218 miles north of Aberdeen.

The Business then became Images in Nature, which led small groups of Nature photographers, including tours in Kenya, India, Japan, Spain , Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Iceland.

Through the years I have been awarded multiple national awards for my photography. With some of these images for sale as Ltd Edition Prints.

Creating Art has stayed with me, in the form of Acrylic paintings,Photography and Sculpture.

I still strive to capture the wonderers of the Natural world.
